Harry was born prematurely at 31 weeks weighing 3lb14oz. At the age of one he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic Diplegia) which means he couldn’t walk unaided and got extremely tired making daily life a struggle.
In January 2018 Harry was assessed for the SDR operation which would take away the majority of the spasticity in his body, enabling him to get around easier and reducing his pain. On the 7th September Harry went on to have the operation and he is now undergoing intense physiotherapy three days a week to strengthen his legs. Although he may never walk without the aid of his frame, this aftercare is crucial to give Harry a better future.
Profits from this year’s event along with the raffle money raised on the night totalling £4,756 are being donated to Harry along with a generous donation of £1,700 from LEONI Temco.
Thank you to everyone who donated a prize and/or purchased a raffle ticket on the evening; you’ve made a great difference!
